ALONE!!

Daily Prompt: Bookworms

Grab the nearest book. Open it and go to the tenth word. Do a Google Image Search of the word. Write about what the image brings to mind

It was a fine big mansion in which a family of four lived happily, but it was very long ago! Years and years ago she would laugh and play with her brother, had fun with her family. Those were the times when she had someone around her, for her. But then, the lightning struck! she was no more with her parents, her brother. Though she came back, but now they were scared of her. When she would throw a ball to her brother, he would just run away, scared, rather than playing with her. On one cold night, they left the house. she tried to follow them out, but was unsuccessful.

Now, fifty years later, the big mansion over the way is still rumoured to be haunted by a ghost of a little girl, and there she is, alone in this merciless world!

Rocking Chair!

Daily Prompt: Toy Story

What was your favorite plaything as a child? Do you see any connection between your life now, and your favorite childhood toy?

As a child, my favourite plaything was a small, bright yellow rocking chair. I always used to sit on that chair, and whenever my sister dared to sit on it, after my right little tantrum, she used to give me that chair! =)

The connection between my life now and my 2 year old self sitting on that chair is very prominent. I loved to sit idly then and I love to do so now! =D The only difference is that I didn’t have any disadvantage of sitting uselessly then, now however…

Also, I really liked to tease my sister then and take that chair from her, and I still do it sometimes, with the slight difference of those things being purple clothes, one ring or another or some other jewellery and she too is kind enough to always lend me some!! Love you my dear sis!! =D

Still Remembered!

Daily Prompt: The Transporter

Tell us about a sensation — a taste, a smell, a piece of music — that transports you back to childhood.

Everyone’s aware of the fairy tales… Cinderella, Little red riding hood, Jack and the beanstalk are all household words.. But no, they do not transport me back to my childhood. Stories which transport me back to my childhood are the one’s which might not be familiar to any of you but were, and still are, very important to me. They take me back into the time when my Maternal Grandmother was still among us, to the time when I was properly aware of the relation of a Grandmother.

Whenever we visited her, we asked to listen the same four stories and she always did tell us those! 😀 Those weren’t just stories but truly they were my childhood. Today after reading some well-known authors, I realize that no books or stories can replace those limited edition stories of my Grandmother.. 😀

SERIOUSLY! I MISS THAT TIME! 😦
