There is no use crying over spilt milk!

Daily Prompt: Burnt

Remember yesterday, when your home was on fire and you got to save five items? That means you left a lot of stuff behind. What are the things you wish you could have taken, but had to leave behind?

Yesterday, I could take only five things, Quite unfair! And Today I’ve got to think about what could I have saved! Well.. I think mostly all of it. But since calamity doesn’t ask when to strike and do it where.. The things that I would have I liked to save beside those 5 things are:

  • My laptop
  • My CDs and USBs containing  all the family pictures
  • My University bag and all my books and registers( I can’t do all that work again)
  • My camera

I can’t think of any thing else. I guess I’m quite unfocused! 😦 I hoping to be more focused in the weekend! I guess the university’s getting to my head!

Run! Run! Run!

Daily Prompt: Burning Down the House

Your home is on fire. Grab five items (assume all people and animals are safe). What did you grab?

download

The first five things I’ll grab in case of a fire!

  1. My cell phone ( of course)
  2. Some clothes ( definitely)
  3. Car keys ( How will I travel to another place after such an ordeal 😉 )
  4. Some cash money ( obviously)
  5. My drawer of books (I can’t leave my Harry Potter collection behind)

P.S: The post might not be upto the usual standards as it’s written in a hurry! gotta run!

Beyond The Grills!

Daily Prompt: Through the Window

BEYOND THE GRILLS!

The window nearest to me as I read today’s prompt was the window which was in my drawing-room and was installed about 7 years ago. It was not there in the original architect but my parents had it made then and the view through the window is very refreshing! At least for me it is! I can call it refreshing because the trees in the area provide very fresh air at all times of the day. As I looked through my window the first thing I saw was the terrace of the bungalow which is located quite parallel to our building (as the drawing-room is on the back side of our veranda).DSC04928 As I look further on I saw a building with some clothes hanging on the ropes and lots of trees (As I call it refreshing) and a park! Though not many people might be able to see the park in the picture but I guess I can see it very clearly because I used to go there daily in my vacations 4 years ago. On further observation I find two more buildings which are in the area we usually pass our way in and out of the neighbourhood.DSC04929
As I surveyed the left hand side of the window I could see the complete corridor of the building very next to us (though it is not very clear in the picture_again) but I’m quite sure any two persons can talk from my window to their corridor easily enough without having to shout themselves hoarse ;). Also next to this building is another white coloured building with light coming out through one of the windows (displayed in first picture) as it is almost sunset.DSC04927
And finally as I moved on the right hand side of the window I can see a tree, a building’s balconies and few more buildings in the distance as our area is a residential and not the commercial one and the fact that I live on third floor would make it almost impossible for me to see any shops even if there would have been any! 😀DSC04930
As I viewed it all and captured it, I’m not sure whether a minute passed by or ten! All I knew was that I had collected enough material for (which I’m hoping to be) a decent length of post! and I closed the window and walked away! 🙂

Had A Great Time With You! :D

Daily Prompt: Ode to a Playground

A place from your past or childhood, one that you’re fond of, is destroyed. Write it a memorial.

In answer to Today’s Prompt, I would like to write a letter to the place which was very dear to me once and it has now been replaced by some other building.

To my dear old Montessori,
I miss you, I really do. I miss the time spent studying in your classes and playing in the playground on the first floor. Dear Montessori, Your structure was so good I still remember some parts of it which were my absolute favourite. Like on the left hand side of entrance, there were many animals for us children to play with and to be entertained from. Immediately in front of gates was the main building and on right side of gates was a set of stairs leading right up to a little garden with some swings and a cage full of monkeys.. I really loved that garden of yours on the terrace and how wouldn’t I? I won a race in that garden which I was very proud of!Well.. Children do get happy on small matters, Don’t they? I was really fond of your garden and your classes too. Your classes were so nice and of course they would be if Someone like Miss Anila would taught us. She was such a nice teacher. She always used to write my name on 1st in the list of good students (well.. almost always). That was a big achievement, Wasn’t it? Well.. I loved you really very much as you would have realized when it was time for me to leave and I asked my mom if she would brought me to play in that garden when I’m done with my high school, college, university and all because I’ve been told by her that I’ve to go to the school now and it was time to leave the Montessori.. 😦
Well.. that’s how much I didn’t want to leave you. Though you were not a very big establishment but you were very important to me. Always will be! But now you’ve also been replaced by another building but your place can never be replaced by any other thing in my heart!
With Love,
Your ex-student

Cheese Sandwich

Daily Prompt: Sliced Bread

Most of us have heard the saying, “That’s the best thing since sliced bread!” What do you think is actually the best thing since sliced bread?

The best thing since sliced bread, in my opinion, a sliced bread topped with cheese. 😀girl-eating-cheese_1355291594_540x540
Be it cream cheese spread, or sliced cheese, or cheese in small pieces, I can eat it no matter what. I just love every edible thing containing cheese for example pizza, chicken cheese sandwich, cheese omelette, cheese biscuits (I had them once and I so totally fell in love with those from that moment on), cheese fries, cheese chips and last but not the least plain bread topped with cheese.
Whenever my mom brings cream cheese spread from the grocery store, I’m the first one to start eating it on breakfast table and last one to stop. I just love the creamy goodness of cheese melting in my mouth and making my taste buds crave for more..Mmmm… 😀

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: LOVE

419665_2718713665138_1195962238_n

This is me and my siblings many years ago.. As I read the topic for

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE  my first thought was the love between siblings or family.. Love between siblings, in my opinion, is simply unconditional.. No matter how much we fight with each other, In the end we are always there for each other. No matter how much we are cross with each other, If a third person  will try to mess with one of us, We’ll definitely be  angry with them. No matter how much I tease my siblings I’m better than them in every aspect. I’ll call my siblings best among their and my acquaintances. LOVE between siblings is something no friend can ever replace.

I once read somewhere that friends know all your interesting stories, but a best friend has lived them with you. So, of course the siblings have been through quite a lot together. Be it good moments or bad ones! So in my opinion the love between siblings simply depends on phrase “Blood is thicker than water” 🙂

Ready, Set Go.. Off to the university

Daily Prompt: Ready, Set Go

Set a timer for ten minutes. Open a new post. Start the timer, and start writing. When the timer goes off, publish.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

OK.. So my time has started.. The only thing I could write about in these 10 minutes is my recently started university life! I’ve been to university three days and I’ve already realized that it’s no child’s play.. It is rather a tiring experience.. I’m saying it and our classes haven’t started yet either.. First day was the orientation day only to find that there is no orientation taking place.. (I found yesterday, it did take place after all). Well.. we did have a good time as we went on an excursion to physics and stats dept… On second day we were confronted by a very generous looking and a very strict looking History and Geography teachers and were given the intro of university life.. Then we had to face three very angry-looking teachers in stats dept.. Who.. though strict looking explained to us all very well the system of groups in university.. Well yesterday was pretty much the same with all the introductory classes taking place..But the reason for us to get tired was much roaming around the university trying to find the exact timings of classes for separate groups and trying to find different departments for all the fellows who are taking different subsidiary subjects! And yeah our lot of energy was also taken up because we were getting bored while sitting idly and we were getting tired when we were roaming!! Well.. That’s all I guess I can write about in 10 minutes of three uni days! And the cell phone starts beeping! Time’s up!

Mathematics!

Daily Prompt: I Got Skills

If you could choose to be a master (or mistress) of any skill in the world, which skill would you pick?

maths2

If there’s any skill in world, I would like to be accomplished at, is Mathematics. Yes, Mathematics! I am completely in love with the subject and I would like to cross all the finites of studying the subject! Though the post is being way too nerdish.. I just can’t help it! I just want to know everything there is about mathematics and then love to imply maths in daily life (which never happens :p). I would love to have such complete knowledge of the subject so that I can calculate most difficult problems on my finger tips.. I mean I’d really like to have brains like Scott Flansburg who doesn’t have to think to calculate… It comes as easily to him as ABC! (I mean 123! 😉 )

Caught in the act!

Daily Prompt: Breaking the Law

Think about the last time you broke a rule (a big one, not just ripping the tags off your pillows). Were you burned, or did things turn out for the best?

bell

Today’s Prompt ask me to think about the last time I broke a rule! Since I couldn’t think of any, my mom reminded me of one and I instantly decided to write on that bad incident. I am not a usual rule breaker, instead I’m rather a nerdy student who’s always scared to step even a single toe out of line. Well, in my last year of school I did break a rule and found to my own cost that I’m just not meant to break rules. Cameras were not allowed in our school, but since it was the last day of our class everyone brought the cameras along with them and so did I, but It was me only who got caught with a camera. I guess the other girls were smart enough to hide it from the teachers or it was just me stupid enough to think we have been given permission to bring the camera on the last day. Well our dearest headmistress confiscated my camera and no matter how much I implored her to give it back, she won’t listen. After a big tantrum she told me to go and talk to the principal which I couldn’t do (I was too scared of her). Well thanks a lot to my class teacher, she told me to calm down and talked to the headmistress herself and conviced her to return me my camera! And Thank God I got my camera back but I still have a regret.. My camera was returned to me at the end of day and I couldn’t capture as many images as I wanted to! 😦

CHEMISTRY AND BEING AWAKE

Daily Prompt: Apply Yourself

Describe your last attempt to learn something that did not come easily to you.

The simple answer to today’s Prompt is Chemistry and being awake! I never got the hang of organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry and physical chemistry (Those are only types I’ve ever had the misfortune to come across with). When I started studying chemistry in 9th grade, it was all too basic and my teacher was good enough to make ME understand the subject!! As time passed the subject got worse and worse for me until in 12th grade I would just confuse Ethyl alcohol with methyl alcohol and get all the numbers of C,H and O mixed up! Ugh! It was a nightmare! And hopefully, If I got the subsidiary subjects of my own choice at university, I might just never ever again in my life will have to study chemistry! 😀

As we come to the problem of being awake, it specifically means being awake in my 2nd year physics classes! I do not like to brag but unlike chemistry I do understand physics but sleeping in those physics classes was something I would just not fail at! (No offence to my teacher) but whenever he used to speak I would just put my head down on the desk and as he continued the lecture his voice would just come from a far away place as if from the end of a big cave until I would completely lose the hang of his voice and fall asleep!*snores*!
